Setup Smart Phones wirelessly

By default, wireless is already enabled on most CenturyLink modems. The default wireless settings are usually located on the bottom of the modem. Please locate the SSID, since you will need it to configure your mobile phone.

If you don't have a sticker, or the settings have changed,  Verify the Modem Settings manually.  Start Over

Now it's time to connect your mobile phone to the Network Name (SSID) of your modem. Once your mobile phone finds the Network Name (SSID) to your modem, click  Next.

If you are uncertain how to connect to a wireless network on your mobile phone, please consult its documentation, user manual or call support (usually 611) from your cell phone for instructions on how to connect to the internet using Wi-Fi on your "cell phone". If you are still unable to get help for the make and model of your mobile phone, contact the cell phone provider. Here are some common devices and instructions:

iPhone based mobile phones can use the "iPhone Wi-Fi assistant"
If further information is needed search the internet for how to connect iphone to wifi
Android based mobile phones, from the Home screen, tap Menu > Settings > Wireless and Networks. Select the Wi-Fi check box to turn Wi-Fi on. The phone will scan for available wireless networks. Tap Wi-Fi settings. Tap a Wi-Fi network to connect. If further information is needed search the internet for how to connect android to wifi

 Start Over

Your mobile phone will ask you to enter a key/passphrase or WPS PIN. Locate the requested information from the bottom of the modem.
If you are having trouble,  Verify the Modem Settings manually.  Start Over

To verify the wireless settings in your modem:

1. Connect a computer directly to your modem using an Ethernet connection.
2. Open up a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox.
3. In the address bar type http://192.168.0.1*, then hit enter on your keyboard.
4. Select Wireless Setup, the wireless settings will be located on step 3 or 5.

After getting the wireless settings, you will need to  Connect to the SSID
