By default, wireless is already enabled on most CenturyLink modems. The default wireless settings usually located on the bottom of the modem. Please locate the SSID, since you will need it to configure your operating system. Next
If you don't have a sticker, or the settings have changed, you can Verify the Modem Settings manually. Start Over
In the system tray (usually in the bottom right corner of your computer screen), click (or double-click) the icon for your wireless connection software (see examples above). It should list your SSID (wireless network) from the previous step. Select your SSID (wireless network).
Here are the instructions for connecting to a wireless network:
Your operating system will ask you to enter a key/passphrase or WPS PIN. Locate the requested information from the bottom of the modem.
If you are having trouble, you can Verify the Modem Settings manually. Start Over
To verify the wireless settings in your modem:
1. Connect a computer directly to your modem using an Ethernet connection.
2. Open up a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox.
3. In the address bar type http://192.168.0.1*, then hit enter on your keyboard.
4. Select Wireless Setup, the wireless settings will be located on step 3 or 5.
