Quick Wireless Setup
Option 1: Setup using WPS
Verify your modem and wireless device are WPS capable, then:
- 1. Press the WPS button on your modem.
- 2. Press the WPS button on your wireless device. (the look and location of the WPS button may vary, refer to manufacturer instructions)
- 3. Wait for your devices to connect. (could take up to 2 minutes)
Option 2: Setup using the sticker
The default wireless settings are usually located on the bottom of the modem:
- 1. On the bottom of your modem, locate the SSID and Key/Passphrase.
- 2. On your wireless device, make sure wireless is Enabled/Turned on.
- 3. On your wireless device, enter the SSID and Key/Passphrase.
- 4. Wait for your devices to connect. (could take up to 2 minutes)
Option 3: Manually retrieve settings
If you don't have a sticker on the bottom of your modem, or the wireless settings have changed:- 1. Use a device that is connected to the modem. (wired or wireless)
- 2. Go to http://192.168.0.1*.
- 3. Select Wireless Setup, write down the SSID and Key/Passphrase on step 3 or 5.
- 4. On your wireless device, make sure wireless is Enabled/Turned on.
- 5. On your wireless device, enter the SSID and Key/Passphrase.
